Can't sleep!

I am sooooooooooo tired! I have not been able to sleep lately! I have been waking up at 2:00am for the past few nights! It sucks! On top of having contractions....Bill and I got a bug or something and I am having stomach cramps too! Fun Fun! This morning I was at least able to go back to sleep for 2 1/2 hours.

Yesterday My Mom came , cooked and put meals in the freezer. She made 4 meals of chicken picata, 4 meals of homemade raviolis and 3 meals of homemade mac and cheese. She is such a good Mommy! I am very fortunate to have such a great Mother. Also My Hubby has been rubbing my back all the time. He is so sweet!

My poor feet! They are so freaking swollen. They used to swell during the day, but once I went to bed they would go down. Well not anymore. They look porky all the time. They are pretty sad looking.

I am still having contractions sporadically and a pain in my right side! BUT NO BABY!

Well back to Labor and Delivery!

OK OK....I didn't want to go! I am starting to think they think I am crazy down there at Labor and Delivery! BUT the Dr. on call and L and D (they gave me their number) advised me to come in. We had a pretty good day....walked down to get the kids from school and when I got home my tummy was rock hard. I figured it was just something that happens. Well I guess it can be considered stressful on the baby. I called the Doc on call and she said to lay down on my left side and if it doesn't loosen up go to L and D. I ended up taking a long bath and that still didn't help. I then called L and D and they said come in as a precaution. I made them promise they wouldn't think I was crazy! LOL We got there about 8:30 PM. They hooked me up to the monitors and started monitoring the baby and my contractions. I was still having sporadic ones. The nurse then came in and said....Ok why don't you guys go walk for an hour. We are thinking "where?" Bill was thinking downtown and I was thinking to the nearest DQ...lol We figured out before we left she meant around the building. When we got back from walking...I was hurting pretty bad. They hooked me back up and put me on my side. Well....I got the worst pain in my right side and it wouldn't go away! The Nurse that was on duty was new and hadn't seen much....so I was fun to her. When she looked at my swollen feet...she said they were "impressive!" LOL She also said that I had crappy veins because they had to put in an IV. The baby's heartbeat was all over the place and they made us wait to get it under a little more control. They offered me Demerol and phenigrin and I declined...how stupid am I! Finally at 2:30 am they let us go home. I was in quite a bit of pain and couldn't fall asleep. I finally fell asleep around 4:00 and woke at 9:45 am. It was not long enough, but I could only lay on my left side. Went back to the Dr. today and nothing has changed. I am still pregnant! Dangit!

Haunted from the past!

Ok...so it wasn't so long ago, but.............we rented a car from Thrifty on our trip to Miami. We received a letter today stating that......that they received a toll charge that occurred during our rental. The toll was $1.00 and they charged our credit card and extra $25 for admin fee! Now we looked into a little further and realized...we dropped the car off a 8:36am and the toll incurred at 10:04am?? Now how can this be? So I called Thrifty....was on hold forever, but got an excellent Customer Service Rep named Kim! I let her know we definitely couldn't be in 2 places at one time! She agreed that it was a mistake on their part and she would take care of it! She also gave me her direct line and her email addy just in case it wasn't taken care of. I used to work on the phone and I know how it is....People always were wanting to talk to a Supervisor when they were pissed. So I asked for her Supervisor. He came on and I told him that she had done an excellent job and I was very happy! He said she had been with the company for quite a while and appreciated me taking the time to let him know how I felt. I also told him Kim deserve a raise, candy and free lunch! LOL I am just happy it was taken care of. Now I just have to make sure the credit card company takes it off!

My Hubby

What can I say!? I love him like crazy and want to kill him sometimes! He has been really good to me these last few weeks. Not that he wasn't good to me before, but lately he has been rubbing my back and helping me do things that are difficult for me. He really is a good boy! Now that doesn't mean he doesn't do or say stupid stuff. He is still a boy! It took me a while to find a good one, but I think I found him! I really hope I don't kill him during delivery :-D I kind of would like him around to help with the baby! LOL Well I am off to bed....who knows when I will need my energy to push this kid out!

Another day and no Baby!

Well today we got up, had breakfast....french toast and bananas. We tried a few things that help induce babies....I won't go into details! We played on the computer for a while and then we went for a walk down by the river. It was nice, but I was in a lot of pain from contractions. We didn't walk too far, but far enough to know that it definitely helps labor along! I think we may need to walk again tomorrow! My back is killing me, but it is one day closer to the baby coming! I don't know when it will be here, but hopefully soon. I guess you can't rush a good thing!

Went to the Hospital last night!

After having contractions for a couple days.....the nurse at my Dr's office said for me to go to the hospital. (the nurse asked if I could walk talk and smile.....I told her yes, however it was what I did and said between those things! LOL) I was a little surprised because my contractions were so sporadic. So I took a shower and headed down to the hospital. Now I joke with my hubby cuz he cut his toenails and shaved before we left....BOYS! I wasn't in an emergency situation....so he is lucky! When we got there at 6:30pm they hooked me up to the monitors and checked me to see if I was dilated. Well I was barely dilated! UGH! The Nurse on duty was going to let me walk and see if anything changed, but she called the Doc on call and he said because I was earlier than 37 weeks to send me home. They were going to give me a sleeping pill so I could get some sleep and I declined. She said it could prolong my labor or it could put me into full labor. I think I will take my chances! On the way home we stopped at DQ for a much needed chocolate chip cookie dough blizzard! Hopefully it will happen soon! I am really wanting to see this baby! Plus....this end part really sucks! I thought my crotch hurt before! LOL

Oh....Also I talked to a friend and she told me about her labor. She said she had gone in and met a few of the Dr's from the clinic she was going to ( just in case they were to deliver her little one) I thought...crap! why didn't I think of that!? Well I realized and she advised me.....by the time you are giving birth....you could care less who is delivering the baby! It could be a walmart employee and you would be happy! I bet she is right! I probably won't care!
